Dog Clicker Training in 15 Minutes Or Less

A clicker is a box that produces a certain type of noise when you press a button. This is done any time the dog does a good thing and is meant to commend him. The dog should be trained to know and recognize what the clicking sound is all about. This works very positively. Since the dog works hard to make you happy, letting him know that he has done a commendable job is important.

As usual, when you get your first dog, many people will give a lot of advice on how to best train him. Remember that you are the master and the dog has to learn from you in all the aspects possible. Make you own decision for you are the one to take care of the dog.

There are many books about pet training now in stores. This is acquired after buying the clicker box. To train your pet using this method, just try by making him do just simple things such as move. Talk to him politely and practically try to make him do what you are telling him. After he does the same press the clicker. If you do this every time he reacts positively, he equates it to good behavior and no help will be required later but just the clicker box.

There have been lately some dogs’ competitions that involve running and passing over obstacles. If you watch closely, there is always a trainer with a clicker box. This is a very effective way of training your dog. The commanding, treating and clicking action when well followed makes them know your happy reaction to their behaviors, since they respond better to praise than punishing them. It puts the trainer in a position of having the responsibility to praise or punish accordingly. The clicker box should be used as often as they are supposed to hear it.
